Board of Editors
Writing for PlayerVox
PlayerVox utilizes a collaborative, player-guided system for choosing which articles are published on the site. Rather than accepting unsolicited articles, we allow GuildCafe members to nominate subjects that they are interested in reading about. Article ideas a voted on, and the more popular ideas are then developed by the PlayerVox Board of Editors. Editors will identify the most qualified writers for a particular subject—which may include significant “name” experts and journalists, as well as well-written players.
If you have an idea for an article that you’d like to see PlayerVox develop, the best place is to post your idea on the PlayerVox article nominations thread, where other GuildCafe members can comment and vote on it. If you are inspired by the ideas you see under discussion there, and you’d like to write for PlayerVox—please contact us with a query in a private message, and include a short outline of how you’d approach the subject.
Please note: we do not publish reviews or previews of games, walkthroughs or guides, fan fiction, developer diaries, or articles that are primarily intended to promote a particular game product. We focus on trends, issues and phenomena that affect the entire industry and hobby of online gaming. Articles must be well-written, well-researched, and pass a rigorous pre-publication editorial process that is designed to improve content through reviews by industry experts and top players.
What if you have an idea for an article that you believe our members would be interested in, but you're concerned about sharing your article topic? The best step, would be to take part in our community and join our board of contributing editors. See the next section.

Nominations for "World Class Guilds" Column
GuildCafe publishes a series of interviews with the leaders of guilds and clans with rich histories, interesting members and unique insights on the online game industry. If you would like to nominate a guild for coverage (which may be your own guild, or someone else’s) please visit the PlayerVox World Class Guilds Nominations thread, and post the following information:
- Name of the guild/clan, primary game(s) and their leader.
- If they are a member of GuildCafe, please indicate their member name. If they are not a member, please indicate the best way to contact them (but please do not put email addresses here; if they are picked, and we need further assistance contacting them, we'll send you a private message.)
- Length of time the guild/clan has been in operation (typically, only well-established guilds will be considered for coverage).
- A few sentences on what makes this guild extraordinary. We are very interested in leaders with a great deal of history, unique views, or great ideas about how to manage, lead and organize guilds and clans--so keep that in mind when posting your nomination!
Suggesting Additions to the Resource Sections
If you have suggestions for new content for any of our resource sections (such as the Glossary), you may post them on the PlayerVox discussion forum. We do not offer an interface to collaboratively edit these files, because we are not a wiki--for PlayerVox, we prefer editorial oversight and accuracy. However, we regularly review everyone's suggestions and review them for inclusion.
