What do you do when you're beset on all sides of life with stress and pressure? You get your GAME ON baby!
You spent what some might consider too much time with Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. They of course, would be wrong.

You must ask yourself. With all the time you rock on Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, what will you play when its over?

You made a new ass-crease in your chair playing Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. I would parade that crease like a gaming trophy!

Age of Conan

"Hubby and I found this game a lot of fun until they introduced Oblivion-like scaling on quest boss mobs in one patch. Then in the next patch they made it so you couldn't solo level any 70+ mobs at all. Here's the kicker: neither change was documen"

Server: Hyperborea (RP-PvP)

Characters:

Canlacha of the lost clan Shanainn, Cimmerian Dark Templar — After playing almost all the classes, I think I've finally chosen which one I like best. Tanks with magic are what I usually gravitate to, too bad this class concept is so dark, emo, and Goth. (I shit bats!) Canlacha's story is long, but can probably be summed up by the quote, "I did it fer love."

Liarae Brightblade, Aquilonian Guardian — A Gunderman from the high hills of Aquilonia, Liarae has decided to travel south in order to serve King Conan and deal with the Stygian threat.

Riala Tairesh, Stygian Assassin — Abandoned on the streets of Khemi at a very young age, Riala learned to steal food and remain hidden from the city's guards. Sneaking out into the wilds, she became adept at treasure hunting, and was "recruited" into Stygia's overarching league of assassins.

Rintara Rhiergan, Cimmerian Bear Shaman — Rintara was made clan medicine woman at the age of twenty-one after the death of her father. Not long afterwards, Clan Rhiergan was attacked by a rival chieftain, the members then sold into slavery.

Tashira Naitari, Stygian Herald of Xotli — At age twelve, Tashira was inducted into the Cult of Xotli against her will, and, like all cult members, infused with some of the demonic god's essence. Six years later she was captured while trying to escape the Cult and sold into slavery.

City of Heroes

Server: Virtue

Guild: Travellers

Characters:

Brightblade, Magic Tanker — I made Brightblade when the Dual Blades powerset was added to the game.

Nightwail, Mutant Defender — Nightwail was one of my villains whose backstory I really loved. Unfortunately I never really liked the villains side, but with the powerpools being crossed over, I decided to reroll her as a hero. So far the least boring and most helpful of all my characters.

Sun Scarab, Mutant Blaster — City of Heroes is another game that we still play on and off. Sun Scarab was my original character. She was a fire/fire Tanker, and the Tanker was just horrible, so I rerolled her as a Blaster. Since then I have made another Tanker, so I don't play Scarab all that often anymore.

Dark Age of Camelot

Characters:

Asliantha Leiraina, Elf Champion — My last character in DAoC. Basically, Hubby and I decided to come back, and we both figured Nimue Hibernia was the best place to roleplay. I met some good friends there, and hooked up with some old ones.

Cedia Eowyde, Elf Ranger — My first DAoC character. This was the character I played in the guild beta with the Shadow Rangers from UO Catskills. They eventually went back to UO after release, and I drifted through many other DAoC characters after that. Most of my stories are at www.poesies.com/shtuff

Iae Russetleaf, Elf Ranger — Back to Percival. More hell. I became friends with the man who would become the Mythic dev Mackey. And then he started stalking me as well. When I wouldn't give in to his plans, he blacklisted me on the server. Yay. I went to Midgard after that.

Sierieda Sablehair, Norse Bard — My first trip to Midgard. I hooked up with a great guild from recommendatons from the VN board, and things were pretty good. However, I missed being an elf too much.

Silmandra "Lost Star", Elf Eldritch — After the stalking and deletion of my character on Percival, I tried Nimue. I joined a very nice guild called Penumbra, but it folded shortly after due to (more) asshole players. Silmandra was very tiresome to play, because she was schizophrenic. She was based on the movie "A Beautiful Life".

Talith Moonshadow, Elf Nightshade — My first character on Percival, also the one I played the longest. Too bad I had to kill her off (ie. delete her) because I was being stalked by another player.

Vaia Greyspire, Elf Champion — And here's where the story does a turnaround. I played Vaia for quite awhile, after having vowed that I would never join a guild with her. Made some friends. Ended up marrying one of them. We were pretty tired of DAoC at that point, so we tried Shadowbane.

Everquest 2

Server: Antonia Bayle

Characters:

Tielis Lra, Dark Elf Monk — The only character that I really love in EQ2. I really love EQ2 as well, but there is no PvP (other than gankfest servers), so Hubby doesn't like it. If they added something like a WoW battleground, I could see us playing this game fulltime.

Guild Wars

Guild: Sanctum Cay Pirates

Characters:

Inina Silkenthorn, Necromancer — Hubby and I play Guild Wars on and off, even today. Inina is the only character that I still play that I started at release.

Lord of the Rings Online

Server: Landroval

Characters:

Ghisele Springmountain, Race of Man Lore-master — Giving this game another shot due to the Age of Conan debacle. My research shows me that the best partner for a Hunter is a Lore-master. I'm enjoying the class this time around, surprisingly enough.

Liarie Bladebright, Elf Guardian — I really love this game. Unfortunately, the game HATES duos. Hubby and I have lifetime subscriptions, but they only get used every few months, when we log in to try to complete a group quest that cons GREY, get our asses kicked, and log off in disgust.

Realm Online

"This is where it all started for me back in 1995. I joined the Lady of the Rose guild and made a website for them, which they turned out not liking very much -- it was too artsy."

Guild: Lady of the Rose

Characters:

Liila Whitewillow, —

Shadowbane

Characters:

Cyn Howling Mist, Aelfborn Ranger — The character I played during my courtship with my husband. Some pretty racy stories going on then... I took Cyn to Star Wars Galaxies, but the only thing I remember about that game is my husband's character proposing on the top of some tower somewhere.

Gracye Silverhoof, Centaur Crusader — Hubby and I really wanted to play this game, but server issues kind of put a stop to that. By the time we came back months later, the Mourning server (and Gracye) were gone.

Ultima Online

Server: Catskills

Guild: Knights of Yew

Characters:

Lucetta DiMaio, — Catskills server, 1996 until beta for Dark Age of Camelot. Knights of Yew guild, the best guild I have ever been in. And it was a complete accident that I ever met them. Thank God for you, Zed, wherever you are! KoY saw me through a messy divorce and even messier experience since I was living in Brooklyn on 9/11. Character development forced me to join the Paladins of Trinsic, but unfortunately their draconian policies and "Lord of the Flies" behavior pushed me out of UO for good.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

"I wasn't all too hot on this game until about a month ago when Funcom dropped the ball on AoC. The best thing I can say for it is that Mythic has had good communication with the playerbase."

Server: USA RP

World of Warcraft

Characters:

Iastine Emberdawn, — My Blood Elf Retribution Paladin. Another character that I got bored of.

Liarie Brightblade, — My last chance at WoW. Blood Elf Protection Paladin, since I liked the Guardian class so much in LotRO. I finally really got into this character, but the rep/gear grind just got too mindnumbing.

Neliatania Flamefeather, — We decided to try WoW again after Burning Crusade came out, and we rolled Blood Elves. This is my Hunter, which I became bored with. Moon Guard, however, is by far the best RP server ever in WoW.

Rintara Bloodrender, — My Orc Enhancement Shaman. I liked the Shaman class, but I ended up not really liking the orc. So sue me, I like to be pretty.

Tirasa Moonwhisper, — It started out well when WoW released. AD was the Eastern RP server, and Hubby and I started a Rogue/Hunter only guild, and also started a roleplay guild alliance. A year and a half later, it all fell apart. Blame the egos of people whose only accomplishment is getting ahead in a video game.

Q. Have you ever had a memorable real-life meeting with other gamers? (Answer!)
A. I organized a real-life meeting with my UO guild in New York City, since a lot of us lived in the area. It was back when MMO's were new, and people were still nice. :p

Q. Why do you join guilds or clans? (Answer!)
A. I admit that I've had some absolutely horrifying experiences, but I've also had some amazing ones. The best is when the playstyles of the members fully mesh.

Q. If you could meet any game developer, who would it be? (Answer!)
A. Raph Koster

Q. Have you ever had a romantic encounter with someone you met in a game? (Answer!)
A. I married one. :D

Q. What music do you like to play games to? (Answer!)
A. I like to be immersed in the game, so I listen to the game music. Guild Wars has by far the best, in my opinion.

Q. What do your characters and avatars usually look like? (Answer!)
A. Pretty females, and usually elven. I guess I'm shallow.

Q. What are the proper uses of tank guns and bubblegum? (Answer!)
A. Uhhh... I guess i'm too old to know the answer to this question.

Q. What sort of tools (calculators, builders, spreadsheets, etc.) do you use to plan your characters? (Answer!)
A. I usually write up a background in Word, and I make a skill template if I can find a character planner on the web.

Q. How do you feel about playing characters of the opposite sex? (Answer!)
A. I've done it, but it takes a lot of energy to roleplay them, so it doesn't happen very often.

Q. What are your thoughts on roleplaying in games? (Answer!)
A. Games are boring without it.

Q. What are your most memorable achievements in a game? (Answer!)
A. I don't know, I guess I don't really play for achievements. I have lots of memories of fun times, though they don't usually have anything to do with achieving something.

Q. What do you love or hate about PVP? (Answer!)
A. I love it because it is unpredictable. I hate it when all it involves is ganking or unfair play.

Q. If you made your own game, what would it be like? (Answer!)
A. Ultima Online with updated graphics.

Q. What is your first computer or video gaming memory? (Answer!)
A. Roleplaying on Vampire: the Masquerade message boards in AOL.

Q. If you could cancel any online game, which would it be? (Answer!)
A. None. I think they all deserve a chance to get better.

Q. In real life, are you male or female? (Answer!)
A. Female

Q. What sort of players annoy you the most? (Answer!)
A. Roleplay griefers and jumping idiots who say "lol" after every sentence.

Q. Do you use voice chat? (Answer!)
A. No, I feel voice chat detracts from the game

Q. What is the most memorable flamewar you can remember? (Answer!)
A. On the Burning Crusade beta forum, when I suggested there be a mentoring system like in EQ2 or CoH.

Q. Beside GamerDNA, what are your favorite websites? (Answer!)
A. Lum's site and Coyote's site.

Q. How do you feel about selling virtual items for real money? (Do NOT advertise RMT services!) (Answer!)
A. DIE DIE DIE!

Q. What experience do you have beta-testing games? (Answer!)
A. I try to get into every beta test I can. Some, like Horizons and AC2, were disastrous. Funcom is making some huge mistakes with Age of Conan right now, but in the end I think I'll play it. Followup: I shouldn't have been surprised, but hope springs eternal. Funcom has no clue how to run an MMORPG. Guess they were sitting around partying with other peoples' money for the past ten years instead of learning.

Q. What are your thoughts on player-made mods/addons for games? (Answer!)
A. I think they ruin the game. Games should include everything you need to stay competetive in the box.
