Q. Do you feel relationships within games are meaningful? (Answer!)
A. Absolutely! It's the other people in the game that make playing worthwhile.
Q. Have you ever had a memorable real-life meeting with other gamers? (Answer!)
A. Yes! I found out that one of my guildmates in EQ2 lived in the same city, so I invited him & his wife to come to our holiday party. It was a little odd meeting face-to-face the first time, but his wife and my partner hit it off right away, talking about our weird online "addiction"!

They've become great friends of ours now, and we often meet up for dinner or a backyard BBQ, even though he's moved on to a different mmorpg.
Q. Where did you get your gaming names from? (Answer!)
A. I like messing around with language and word meanings, and I like a "high fantasy" feel. I often look around for Celtic or Norse names and words that fit in to my idea of the character's history & background.

Brandl Stoutleaf is a dwarf and Fae-friend. He's a Warden living in Kelethin, home of the Fae.

Fasci is a Fae gone... a little mental. He likes order, and he likes people to do things HIS way. A bit of a "fascist", and that suits his role as a Coercer just fine.
A. Yes, but only when absolutely needed
Q. If you could bring any book, movie or comic to life in a game, which would you choose? (Answer!)
A. Lord of the Rings! Oh, wait. They did that already!
Q. When you are not playing games, what do you do for fun? (Answer!)
A. I do a lot of reading, from scifi & fantasy novels to classics to self-help and books on spirituality. I also enjoy watching some TV (mostly "on demand" shows. I hate commercials.), going to (classical-type) concerts & plays or readings, and just hanging out. And I've recently started doing more with Facebook & MySpace, both for work & fun.
Q. What are your thoughts on player-made mods/addons for games? (Answer!)
A. I think mods are great and useful for players, as long as they don't break the game for others. Auto miners & that sort of thing are just an abuse of the system, but different UI's are fine.
Q. What is your first computer or video gaming memory? (Answer!)
A. Oh, I have several! Though not mmorpg's, my friends and I used to play "The Oregon Trail" for hours... not the "new" one, but the old TRS-80 version! I also had a great love for playing the ZORK games, which I bought (from Radio Shack, of course) on cassette tape (since the computer didn't have a disk drive!).

Video games... Yes, I remember Pong. And I remember playing PacMan all night long when my cousins got their brand new Atari system!
