IVC's going back to Tempest Keep tonight for the first time since the patch. I'm a little nervous, but I think we can do it. I hope.

As of late we've been having trouble getting people to sign up and attend raids. It's sort of frustrating seeing everything that Neth and Kal go through trying to fine people to fill in where our own members refuse.

RL > games, yeah, but laziness is no excuse if you want to be a good raider...

Maybe moving past the easy, farmable encounters will be incentive to some people. Maybe it will get them to perk up and actually help out.

Getting back into GW has been tough. It's a great change of pace, but I don't like the missions as much as I used to. The usual gambit of people annoy me. But at least I still have my tiny guild, and friends to play with.

I need to add the rest of my characters. Ciao.

Q. If you could bring any book, movie or comic to life in a game, which would you choose? (Answer!)
A. The His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. It's been a favourite since I was young, and I always liked the idea of daemons. :D

Q. What experience do you have beta-testing games? (Answer!)
A. I was semi-involved with beta testing WoW because of a friend, but I've never really beta'd anything else.

Q. What sort of tools (calculators, builders, spreadsheets, etc.) do you use to plan your characters? (Answer!)
A. Mm, well I honestly never used anything like that. Since I primarily play World of Warcraft, I made a TON of characters starting out, and just did what looked fun from there.

Q. If you could meet any game developer, who would it be? (Answer!)
A. No clue. Don't keep up with things like that, it's not my style. I care about the people I know in-game, not who developed the idea to begin with.

Q. What are your thoughts on roleplaying in games? (Answer!)
A. I love roleplay! Even though I started on a PvP server, I prefer the more down-tones of RP servers. It would be great if there were more actual RP though.

Q. How do you feel about selling virtual items for real money? (Do NOT advertise RMT services!) (Answer!)
A. I can understand it, I guess. But I never would, and personally I think it's stupid to pay real money for something that has no effect on the real world.

Q. Are you interested in working within the game industry? (Answer!)
A. As a voice actress, sure. Otherwise I haven't the patience.

Q. Why do you join guilds or clans? (Answer!)
A. People! I ran with my current guild for ages before finally joining. Heck, I've been known to roll up characters on other servers because of people.

Q. Other than your console or PC, what is the piece of hardware you can't live without? (Answer!)
A. My cell phone. It keeps me in touch with everyone when I'm away from home.

Q. Where did you get your gaming names from? (Answer!)
A. Toying with random name generators until I find something I like, then putting my own spin on it.

Q. What sort of players annoy you the most? (Answer!)
A. Hypocrites. People who whine about losing a fair fight. Loot ninjas. People who roll other-faction characters to harass someone over some little peeve. Hardcore PvPers who can't accept anyone who isn't the same way.

Q. Do your quiz results on GamerDNA reflect your personality, and if not, what did it get wrong? (Answer!)
A. Mostly, so far. I'm not huge into PvP, but I do it enough that I guess it effects my game personality.

Q. In real life, are you male or female? (Answer!)
A. Female

Q. What are your most memorable achievements in a game? (Answer!)
A. Being the raid leader for a lot of my guild's early raiding achievements and 'first kills.'

Q. What is the most memorable flamewar you can remember? (Answer!)
A. There's always drama in guilds. But to my knowledge, our drama has never gotten to be an outright flame war, though recently it got close.

Q. What are your favorite tabletop (RPG, board, miniatures, etc.) games? (Answer!)
A. Oh man. Okay, so recently our guild leader got all the officers into DND, specifically Ravenloft. So I guess that would be my favourite, and only RPG. As far as board games go, Risk is fun.

Q. When you are not playing games, what do you do for fun? (Answer!)
A. Listening to music, reading, writing, going to local plays and concerts. College. Unlike the usual uninformed generalization of gamers, I have a pretty active offline social life.

Q. What are the specs on your gaming rig? (Answer!)
A. My desktop and my laptop are different. I'd run off the full report for my desktop but I don't currently have access to it. Some other time, I guess.

Q. If you made your own game, what would it be like? (Answer!)
A. A game for roleplayers. Something without the threat of PKers where everything that happened in the game world would change the game world. Something that would encourage community building and world exploration over PvP, while still having entertaining PvE aspects.

Q. When do you play, including timezone? (Answer!)
A. GMT -05:00 Late nights are kind of my thing. We play and raid late, so I adapt. But I'm always available in some form, be it messengers, calls or email. Ask anyone in my guild for Ivy and there are bound to be suggestions of where I am.

Q. What is a feature you would like added to GamerDNA? (Answer!)
A. More little quiz things? Guild accounts that 'host' individual member info would be cool.

Q. Beside GamerDNA, what are your favorite websites? (Answer!)
A. Our guild site, Gaia online, gmail and seventh sanctum.

Q. How do you feel about playing characters of the opposite sex? (Answer!)
A. Whatever other people want to do is fine. Some of my best male friends have female alts. I've tried playing males but I don't like RPing as a male, so that ended fast.

Q. Do you use voice chat? (Answer!)
A. Yes, and I have a microphone

Q. How many hours a week do you play? (Answer!)
A. 20-40

Q. What are the proper uses of tank guns and bubblegum? (Answer!)
A. Whatever you want to make 'em. Personally I prefer setting things on fire.

Q. If you could cancel any online game, which would it be? (Answer!)
A. Those free mmos that sound so cool, then the graphics suck ass.

Q. What are your thoughts on player-made mods/addons for games? (Answer!)
A. Some add to the game, some detract from it. I don't want anything that plays my game for me, but UI mods are nice. Stuff that reminds you when buffs are dropping, or a threat meter to keep you from stealing aggro from a tank in a raid.

Q. What is your first computer or video gaming memory? (Answer!)
A. Playing Baulders Gate with my best friend at her house ages ago.

Q. Ninjas or pirates? (Answer!)
A. Pirates

Q. Have you ever had a memorable real-life meeting with other gamers? (Answer!)
A. I've never done it, but I'd love to. The only people I knew in game when I started playing are the ones I knew out of game even before that.

Q. What do your characters and avatars usually look like? (Answer!)
A. It depends on the character they're meant to represent. Roleplayer, you know.

Q. What mods do you play with? (Answer!)
A. Unreal tournament lends itself well to me as a sniper. So anything I can find that supports that role.

Q. What music do you like to play games to? (Answer!)
A. Techno, trance, trip-hop, melodic instrumental. Depends on the mood.

Q. What question would you add to the Attitudes system? (Answer!)
A. What offline activities people enjoy. That's as much a factor in 'matchups' as anything.

Q. Have you ever had a romantic encounter with someone you met in a game? (Answer!)
A. Like cybering? XD No.

Q. Do you feel relationships within games are meaningful? (Answer!)
A. Some are. I think the friendships built in game are real friendships. I'm not sure about love-based relationships, but I don't see why not.

Q. What do you love or hate about PVP? (Answer!)
A. I love it when a PuG team (not premade) pulls together well and wins. I hate being outright crushed by premades, or people who are arrogant about winning.

Q. What is the most overlooked or misunderstood game? (Answer!)
A. I think DND is fairly misunderstood. But really, all video games are. People who say they cause violence or desensitization to gore or whatever. It's different seeing it on screen, in games or movies or whatever, and seeing it in real life. As a nursing student I can say for a fact that pixilized blood and real blood are VERY different indeed.
