Good atmosphere, looks great, well-done lore. Too quest-oriented is the only real criticism I can come up with. Good game, well-done!

Character profiles:- Taranon the level 50 Race of Man Guardian
Taranon is taking his time seeing the sights in Middle Earth. He's an Explorer, in the crafting sense and also in the regular sense- and is a Grand Master in Prospecting & Forestry. He hit 50 in 6 months, and certainly was in no hurry.
- Reynald the Race of Man Hunter
Reynald is a Hunter / Historian alt.
- Andhelm the Race of Man Captain
Andhelm wandered alone in the lands around Bree.

It's tragic seeing how close this game came to being really good. Performance issues and premature release buried what is an interesting world.

Definitely a change of pace which is good with the FPS type play, but weak in the MMO department. I don't think it will do well with a monthly subscription fee unfortunately.

Character profiles:- Gack BladeSong the level 50 Firbolg Warden
Probably my favorite MMO character. Created in 2002, he hit 50 in around 8 months or so. Wardens had lots of utility, something I'm fond of to this very day. Hit Master Level 10 on him, never thought I'd get there, but it finally happened.
- Rhiam the level 50 Lurikeen Mentalist
Little Rhiam, the Mana Menty. Hyperactive, emotional, fun. He dinged 50 while dead in Fomor City- a funny story! He leveled up in 2003.
- Taranon the level 49 Celt Bard
Taranon was my first Hibernian character I created on Nimue in 2002. He sang ironic ditties about his fellow groupmates, and always had an eye out for the ladies. A smooth-talker.
- Brannad the level 48 Celt Druid
Brannad was a fierce, protective Druid, loyal to his own (2004).
- Elendion the level 45 Elf Enchanter
Elendion was a Siabra, and a rather complex character who didn't really know himself who or what he was. Played him mostly in 2004.
- Caddan McClannad the level 25 Paladin
Caddan was an insufferable self-centered blowhard, a proud Highlander, always jesting. What a tremendous amount of fun to play! (2003)
- Navarth the level 24 Friar
Navarth was a troubled soul, on the brink of madness. A friar who had lost his beliefs.
- Kirth Gersen the level 49 Cleric
My first RP character, Kirth was a happy-go-lucky Highlander who loved to drink (imagine that!). He goes back to 2001.

Morreion's blog:
Nerf the Archers!
Anyone else notice this historical trend?
This post is a bit tongue-in-cheek, a bit of a rant, a bit of a pet peeve.
Archers always get nerfed.
Over on the Conan boards, they are having a PvP weekend with NDA sorta kina lifted. First observation: Rangers are wayyyyy overpowered! Day 2 of the weekend, Rangers are nerfed and 'are hitting people like jello' according to one Ranger. lol!
In AO, Agents (a sniper class) got their opening shot nerfed hugely early on (PvP balance). I was an Agent and I remember the howls.
In Horizons (yeah, a PvE game!), Scouts were the first class to get nerfed if I remember right- I heard some very bitter Scouts in chat. By the way, for those who would think a PvE game would be nerf-free, Horizons is the counterexample. I remember class arguments on the boards and in-game (I know it sounds weird).
In DAoC, the archer classes were feared in the Old Frontier early on. They got nerfed. Well, OK, stealth & ranged is pretty powerful. I think they buffed them up again later.
Vanguard Rangers were an early victim of the nerf bat. This game was another 'beneficiary' of trying to balance PvE with PvP play, which means- nerf the guy with the bow!
It just seems like it goes on and on. You think devs would pay a little closer attention to archers by now
Interestingly, archers seem to be more nerf-worthy than casters.
