Battlefield 2 (PC)

"Before release I got hooked on the demo. Got the game preordered and in and in a few weeks they patched it to 1.1. With everything low or off in the graphics department I had a festive FPS of 4-6. Didnt get much play after that. Now with a new comp I"

Halo 2 (XBOX)

Magic the Gathering Online (PC)

A. I havent used many in the past, but games like WoW and Elders Scrolls series really come to life with them. They make the game better than it was originally.

Q. Do you feel relationships within games are meaningful? (Answer!)
A. Yes and no. While most relationships within games are maintained only ingame, there is potential for true friendship aswell. I know a couple who met in Diablo II and are now married even though they lived in differents states (US) originally. Also I have a good friend I met in America's Army that has visited me from Great Brittain in 3 summers now.

A. No I havent been to any meet-ups, but I usually play with RL friends.

Q. How many hours a week do you play? (Answer!)
A. 20-40

Q. What is your first computer or video gaming memory? (Answer!)
A. Video games: Space invaderes on some Atari system I think PC games: propably something simple like AlleyCat, but the first game I really properly played for hours and hours was Civilization on my 286 Nokia PC with EGA display and Suondblaster 2, which was still very rare back then.

Q. Have you ever had a romantic encounter with someone you met in a game? (Answer!)

Q. How do you feel about selling virtual items for real money? (Do NOT advertise RMT services!) (Answer!)
A. I think Sony has it right on EQ2 where they set up a market place for such sales where they handle the transfer of money and items and take a small fee for it. No one gets screwed over.

Q. Where did you get your gaming names from? (Answer!)
A. I just make them up as I go unless I use my my default screen name "Micge".

Q. What are your most memorable achievements in a game? (Answer!)
A. Finishing Zelda on the NES comes to mind first. I had been at it for months and I think I was maybe 8 or 9 years old. I remember the let down when I found there was a second more difficult round to complete after that. Didnt play much of it after that.

Q. What is a feature you would like added to GamerDNA? (Answer!)
A. ""

Q. What is the most overlooked or misunderstood game? (Answer!)
A. I'll have to get back to you on this one...

Q. If you could cancel any online game, which would it be? (Answer!)
A. StarWars Galaxies. I played it quite alot back before Jump to Lightspeed and some after the expansion. It had a very unique character development system and it really captured the feel of the setting. Unfortunately Sony Online Entertainment fucked it all up in their post-WoW panic all that made SWG stand out from the other MMO's was removed in favor of a WoW like system and that's when they lost what loyal playerbase they had. We deserve a new SW MMO, maybe Lucas could deliver?

Q. What sort of tools (calculators, builders, spreadsheets, etc.) do you use to plan your characters? (Answer!)
A. Online Character builders, talent calculators and WoWwiki articles. POS (Player Owned Starbase) calculator spreadsheet for EVE-Online

Q. What experience do you have beta-testing games? (Answer!)
A. None

Q. Are you interested in working within the game industry? (Answer!)
A. Not terribly much interest. I enjoy the final products and it's enough. If I had some database education I might be tempted to work for CCP Games (EVE-Online makers).

Q. What do you love or hate about PVP? (Answer!)
A. In FPS games I enjoy the hunt and kill and love to set up close range ambushes. In MMO's it's just a means to an end (free epix with honor).

Q. Do your quiz results on GamerDNA reflect your personality, and if not, what did it get wrong? (Answer!)
A. I think they came out pretty good.

Q. If you made your own game, what would it be like? (Answer!)
A. A Sci-Fi setting MMO with Space-Nazis, beautiful enlightened aliens with psionic powers, evil world eating intergalactic bug swarms and an empire of benevolent, united humans whose noble navy would fight to make the universe a better place. I would have rich character development, 3rd person view missions, exploration, manufacturing and space travel. Combined with RTS style space encounters with ships and bug swarms and a team/objective based FPS on ground /space station/boarding combat. Now someone go make it happen and I want beta-keys and royalties.

Q. What is the most memorable flamewar you can remember? (Answer!)
A. I havent participated in any and when I see a thread go down that road I stop reading it. Arguing over the internet is not for me and I can go to bed without proving every idiot out there wrong first.

Q. What are your thoughts on roleplaying in games? (Answer!)
A. In MMO's there is generally very little roleplaying because majority of the players dont care for it and some ruin it for those who do. In SWG there was supricingly rich RP:ing though. Specially in the cantina's. When I play single player RPG's I always try to create a character much like in pen and papaer games. Full with a backround and purpose and then play the game acordingly. I do not make choices based on rewards but how the character would act acording to his believes.

Q. What are the proper uses of tank guns and bubblegum? (Answer!)
A. Tank guns should be aimed at the enemy and bubblegum chewed after every meal to protect your teeth.

Q. Why do you join guilds or clans? (Answer!)
A. More the merrier.
