Wow ... I just finished reading the article and I have to say, even though I didn't see it, it renews my faith too. I have been waiting for this game for a very long time and I'm glad to hear that it's even better than what I dreamed of. The boat combat, the merchants being a viable profession... excellent!!!
Half the people who say they can't wait for it will quit once they realize 100% of the world is a PvP zone with full looting. Why will Darkfall be the best game ever made? Because it'll be the first time devs do the right thing and ignore the players entirely. "If you don't like our game, quit." That is the attitude needed to have a successful game.
If that game...is ANYWHERE NEAR as good as it possibly sounds... I will fall in love with it. It sounds exactly like what I've been waiting for ever since UO introduced those stupid little moonstones that I would later come to loathe for what they stood for. Eff trammel man, nothing beat the intense dynamic feel old school UO had. You never cherish your equipment more than when you could lose it the next moment.
