If it Is due to a diversion of funding for the sims, I'd have to agree that it is a pretty poor decision on EA's part.

I been waiting for this game but I can wait some more. I rather have it done & working then have it & it ruin the dreams we have the the game. It has alot going on & I for one don't want to shove out money for junk. So let them have more time to test, add & do what they need to do.

The only note of importance with this announcement is that it would appear, according to some circles, that the pushback is due more to a diversion of funding and effort to The Sims, as well as a restructuring at EA. Having been involved indirectly on Sims' community/franchise development for a number of years, I am not saying it's cause for worry, but it definitely seems like a poor decision on EA's part. If consumer response is any indication, however, one would imagine that there is some re-thinking going on.

I agree. Why rush it now if it's been in development since what..2000? Luckily I've got a great game, LOTRO, to keep me occupied till then.

Better than releasing it half done.
