This week, Sanya posts some information comparing the launches of some big MMOs and even exposes some valuable details behind the gamers that play them.
Recently there has been a lot of back and forth about what went wrong with Vanguard. Well, as usual, there's a little drama going on with who was responsible for what, and how that impacted the game. I keep tabs on this sort of stuff because developers frequently bounce to different studios, and if I see a game being developed by people on my "flag list" then I know to stay away from those games. Very sad. I followed that game and invested months of effort as a volunteer staffer at the Vault Network for V:SoH. You can see the potential there for a great game...tragic and heart-breaking all the way around.
