You'll never know... people are initially explorers and curious about everything.

To set the ball rolling I am a CEO of a Corporation in EVE Online, In real life I am a Systems Administrator/Programmer.
I'm the General of Cyb0r in my Anarchy Online org. (go figure that i'm an adventurer as well)

Exploring is quite important to me... makes me see the world and be in awe. Also, if you play games like Counterstrike... exploring maps gives you the advantage of surprise and maneuverability over other less explore, more kill players. Adventure games gives you a reason to explore, find secrets, etc.

I had an idea where instead of MMO's coming out with multiple servers of the same game each server is a different area to explore. Take SWG as an example. Instead of 25 servers of the same game make each planet a server. There are what 10 planets currently? That leaves 15 planest and areas to be discovered. Travel to an from each planet would take time and effort and space exploration is a must. If you discover a planet, players have to explore it and set up everything (Starports, business, cities, etc).
That way you have a set up similar to EVE where everyone is on the same "shard" but can start in different areas (planets). You eliminate the Bloodfin and Starsider communities and then develop Corellian, Tatooine and other planet communities.
